BTCnews App Important Message

Dear BTCnews Users,

Our NewsFeed database, which holds all stories in the NewsFeed is exploding in size, primarily due to very old saved stories, that as a bonus feature have never been deleted. This has negative impact on the performance of the app (as well as a nifty new feature coming very soon), and is not sustainable. Normally stories are kept for 45 days if nobody saves them; some of the existing ones are a few years old, irrelevant, and possibly saved by users who no longer use the system.

So, to ameliorate the situation, in a week, on the weekend of June 28, all stories older than 6 months will be purged from the system. This will probably not affect many users, and will pave the way for better performance and new features to come. If there are older stories that you would like to keep, please save or send youself a link to the original story on the web.
